Merry Maids to Participate in National Denim Day Tuesday May 12, 2015
Mother’s Day is all about Mom and recognizing all she does. While a perfectly worded card or trip to the spa may put a smile on her face, there is an even better way to acknowledge how important all moms are. This year, the CURE Foundation is holding its 19th annual National Denim Day for breast cancer, in honor of Mother’s Day.
This is a fun way to support women and our staff couldn’t be more excited to take part. While gifts are always nice on Mother’s Day, there is something special about taking part in an event of this magnitude, and for such a fantastic cause. You see, our staff specifically chose this event as many of the women who work with Merry Maids have been affected by cancer in one way or another – and this is their way to show support.
Look for our display of denim on May 12th, as staff members who donate to the CURE Foundation will be wearing denim instead of their normal Merry Maids uniform. And to show our support for all women battling cancer, Merry Maids of Brampton will be matching all donations made by the staff.
Last year, thousands of Canadians raised close to $1.5 million in one single day. That’s truly inspiring! To date, the CURE has raised close to $27 million, since its inception in 1996.
We hope you can join us in the fight against breast cancer, by showing a little denim for women everywhere.
